The price is $65.00 per room (1 king or 2 queen sized beds) + tax.

Free complimentary happy hour from 5 PM to 7 PM with bar food and 3 drinks of your choice, beer, wine, or mixed drink (soft drinks, coffee and juice also available).
The Airport does not service flights from major cities. You have to fly in by feeder airlines from nearby cities according to where your carrier flies too. The Plaza Inn is only about 12 miles away. The hotel does not have a shuttle but the sales manager said she would personally pick up those that fly in. You will have to call the hotel with your arrival time.
We will have our Dutch treat dinner on the evening of arrival and also our banquet at the Astor Restaurant. It is only a couple of blocks from the hotel. The good thing is everyone will be able to order off their menu. It is an older, 1940's style restaurant but has the best food around. From Mesquite char broiled steaks to fine seafood. Also Mexican if you prefer. Their lunch menu has about anything you can name plus a number of home cooked type meals. For the banquet they will set up a private room for us with white tablecloths, decorations and such.
Monday there will be a optional tour of the Texas State Aquarium for those who want to go. The day will be open for the others. For those of us who don’t get around that well, we can hold down the fort in thee hospitality room.
At 1:00 PM On Tuesday, we will tour, and have the memorial service aboard the U.S.S. Lexington, “The Grey Ghost”. A WWII and Vietnam Aircraft Carrier. We will begin with the memorial first and each person can tour as long as they want to and leave as they want to. A shuttle is available for transportation to the hanger deck.
Tuesday 7:00 PM will be our business meeting and the Ladies Auction. Again for any new comers, The ladies bring some inexpensive trinket and auction them off to each other. They have a lot of fun and make a little money to use as they please.
Wednesday will be a open day.
Wednesday at 6:00 PM we will leave for the Banquet. If this is your first reunion, this usually calls for a coat and tie. Everyone will be able to order from the menu.
Thursday (optional tour of King Ranch). It is the largest ranch in the world, and covers 825,000 acres; an area larger than the state of Rhode Island. It has 50,000 head of cattle and 350 quarter horses. The fencing would reach from Corpus Christi to Boston, Mass. A total of 2,000 miles. You ride their bus, The tour is 2 hours. The ranch is about 45 minutes from the hotel.
Friday AM check out time. Anyone who wants to check in a day or two early or stay a day or two late may do so at the same reunion rate, but don’t forget to tell them you are with the U.S.S. Savage Reunion Association.
Lets all think about where we want to meet next year. If you have a choice of destination, please bring some information to the meeting.
